I think it would be interesting to hear any memorable fan moments/stories that made an impact on him?
His all-time favorite song from when he was a kid?

Re: Soul Asylum--past, present, future
I totally get all the varying opinions, but I know that if I were to go see a show with Dave, I would want to hear Soul Asylum songs, too, so......
I admire his courage to forge ahead with the name. He'll continue to bring his brilliance, I have no doubt.
Keep the faith.

Soul Asylum--past, present, future
So, I said my thanks to Dan obviously initiated by his departure from the band. But to all the guys--a big thank you, as well. I'll try to keep it brief and simple. From the live performances, to the fan interaction, to the numerous records, from the early days to present day. Awesome. Dave--your so...

Re: A message from Dan Murphy
Dan, Thank you. I really hope you realize and grasp what this band that you co-founded has meant to so many people. Being a music fan yourself, I'm sure you can appreciate what that means. But there was something special about you guys, something tangible in a business that often seems so far away f...

Re: A message from Soul Asylum
Thanks, Jim for giving us the message. I'm sure you had to do that with a heavy heart! Well...like all good things, all things as we know them have to end at some time. I will miss Dan and the comraderie on stage, for sure. I'm glad I got the pleasure to meet him a time or two and wish him all the b...

Yep, makes no difference when you became a fan! The band got hold of all of us somehow! And we were all lucky enough to pay attention.....

Re: Grave Dancers Union turns 20!
You feel old? I was 21 and had already been a follower of the band for quite a few years. My boyfriend (haha husband now) and our best friend spent our time listening to them and going to any and all shows within a 3 state radius. This was the beginning of the boys getting their much-due recognition...

Re: Dan's status with the band
Another day, no news. Will just have to wait. I've been a close follower of the band for over 20 years and it would definately take some getting used to any major change....but that's life, I guess. No matter if we like it or not, life happens to everyone....even Soul Asylum and its members. But as ...

Glad to see the new album finished! I have faith in the band and know it'll be awesome just like everything else they do. Welcome back, boys. Look forward to seeing you live!
