Re: Any Dan sightings?

Has there ever been an interview with either Dave or Dan explaining the latter one's exit from the band? Dan was quoted stating he was fed up with the music industry and that was the reason he quit the band and music in general. What aspects of the music biz was he upset about? Are they on good term...

Re: Will Soul Asylum ever come to The Netherlands?

That's true; however, don't you think that they could very well be placed on the first slots of a 50-something-band linup fest...? Not even early at midday?

Re: Will Soul Asylum ever come to The Netherlands?

SA could easily be part of a festival if the promotors doubt they could sell enough tickets on their own. I mean, there are so many irrelevant and less talented artists included in tons of festival line-ups out there that it's mind-blowing how a band of the caliber of SA isn't getting any offers.

Also, it's somewhat surprising Made to Be Broken came out before While You Were Out , yet the latter seemed to follow more in the footsteps of their very first record: punkish, all over the place, lacking cohesion,...

Whatever happened to the string of cover EPs they recorded a while back?

Hopefully we'll get a new album really soon!

Re: Candy From A Stranger 19 Years Old

I remember hearing I Will Still Be Laughing on the radio and realizing they had a new album out. I wasn't online yet in 1998 Similar case here, only that I learnt about it on MTV by watching its video. Such an underrated and obscure record! I still love it! Draggin' the Lake, Close and NY Blackout ...

RIP.

I've never really gotten around to checking Husker Du or The Replacements. Which albums would be a good way to start with?

Re: Any Collective Soul fans here?

Sorry for the late reply.

The new album is a mix of classic and modern Collective Soul albums, so ,yeah, it would appeal to old-school fans, especially to those who enjoy their second album, the self-titled one, known for songs such as Gel, Smashing Young Man, Where the River Flows, etc.
