Re: 2008 announced Tour Dates
For anyone who is interested in the Waukesha show, I emailed the contact on the www.waukeshacountyfair.com website and the person who responded assured me that although Soul Asylum is playing with Everclear, they are not promoting them as an "opening" band, but double bill. Both bands will get equal...

Re: What is the first record you ever bought?
I wish I could say it was something cooler, but it was Rick Springfield, who to me still has that retro cool thing going on. Who doesn't love Jessie's Girl and a guy who would put his dog on his album covers? Also was my first concert in 1983 when I was in 8th grade. True story. 2 years later would ...

Re: How did you get into Soul Asylum?
Hey, Radio Guy- I saw Soul Asylum on the same tour with Living Color at UW Milwaukee and I remember telling Corey Glover when they finished and he was helping clean up their gear that normally I get impatient with the opening bands at SA shows because I want to just see SA, but that they were pretty...

Re: Set list from April 26th
Sorry to anyone who disagrees, but I say go Dave go! There's a lot more to be mad about in my opinion that the Bushes have done than Katrina! But I'm happy that anyone who disagrees can enjoy the music on it's merits and agree to disagree! That's part of what makes this a great country!

Re: What is your favorite song on Made To Be Broken?
I agree with Miss Fitt's comments completely. I LOVE this album in it's entirety and this was the first Soul Asylum album that I bought when it came out, so to me, this is what Soul Asylum sounds like. Their new stuff is still great and I love all of their albums, but to me, this where it's all root...

Re: What do you listen to apart from Soul Asylum?
I don't think I ever responded to this. A lot of the usual suspects and some others. Here are a few: Minneapolis bands - Husker Du / Sugar/ Bob Mould, Replacements, Golden Smog, Gear Daddies etc Maritime - from Milwaukee, Matt Pond PA , X / Exene / John Doe / Knitters, Morphine / Twinemen, Riverboat...

Thank you for the story! Sorry, I didn't see that the cough was already recognized. I'll have to come up with something else original

Re: Vintage Flyer and Photo scans
My first SA show was September 29th, 1985 in Green Bay WI, and they played with X, so I wonder if this show was from that same tour? I have a flyer from that show, but it doesn't show SA on it. I'll try to post it. I have it up on myspace.
