I live in Santiago and, believe me, I did notice that site a long time ago… but Soul Asylum didn’t come to Chile =(… Luckily, they went to Peru and I finally met them there (in a foreign country for all of us)

My guess is that "loyal" was NOT meant to be an insult. I think mad_soul is from South America...perhaps "loyal" was the closest-fitting English word to what she had in mind. That's exactly what happened!!! You know, I'm from Chile and sometimes I just translate words that are OK in Spanish.... Sor...
