Re: Iffy "the band" w/ Soul Asylum in Chicago

Cheers. A good show for sure. One of the better soul asylum shows I've seen (I think). I recorded the show on a Walkman and one of my friends lost it while transfering it to cd. Also not sure what he did with the cd version. Oh well! Many more shows to see. Take care.

Re: Oldies but Goodies

Nice photos!! I tried to take some @ the metro in chicago, but "security" took out my film; which included cool shots of south Chicago :( One day I'll go back. Thanks.

Iffy "the band" w/ Soul Asylum in Chicago

There was a band named "Iffy" that opened up for Soul Asylum in Chicago in the early 2000's. Anyone know of them and if they're still around. They were interesting. Kinda funky stuff, Dave joined them on trumpet towards the end of their set. Just remembered that show now, kinda :|

Re: 2011 June 17th - Montalvo Arts Center, Saratoga, CA

This show is here already! I hope someone will post a set list. It would be interesting to find out any new songs they're playing, or new old ones. "Nothing to write home about" would be great to hear again. I love Dan's solo for that one and ofcourse Dave's lyrics. Encore maybe? They can save it fo...

Re: Soul Asylum/Jayhawks New Year's Eve Poster for Sale-Orig

$400 is a bit out of my range these days. If I come into some money and it's still available, maybe. Thanks for the post and reply.

Re: Soul Asylum/Jayhawks New Year's Eve Poster for Sale-Orig

Nice poster you have. What year was that new years eve show? Were you at that show? And finally, how much for the poster? That would be nice when I set up a small studio room at my place. I could also frame a guitar magazene cover with Dan and Dave on it. That would be good for inspiration.

Re: The Break

Oh ya, some obsession is up there. A clever tune like most of Daves stuff. Gone forgotten is also a diamond in the rough. I just recently stumbled upon freak accident and I was obsessed for a few weeks. The " I know you're a misfit too..." line is classic Dave. I've had the pleasure of meeting him 3...

The Break

Good to see the break featured as guess the song. It is one of my top 10, maybe. That changes every time I put any Soul asylum stuff on. I will put in on when I go home. Strange how I like many non album Dave tunes more than the ones that made the album. I've thought about a home compilation of off ...
