Re: Eyes of A Child

Anyway, my long-winded explanation was supposed to be me trying to point out that making a weak statement like she's an 'addict slut' with '13 criminals' as kids is baseless. One can show, as you two just have, that other possibilities exist and there's evidence for them. Oh yes, that's the beauty ...

Re: Eyes of A Child

Analyzing Eyes Of A Child sounds fun. Can I give it a go, then? She had thirteen kids, each one had thirteen problems ~ she is facing infinite problems with her children. Doesn't this analogy sound like Jesus' "seventy times seven"? Three uppers, ten downers just to put up with this ~ not necessaril...

Re: hi soul asylum fans im new to the group

So, actually, I just wanted to say that you all seem like such a close-knit community and I'm glad to be a part of it! Bye for now! :) We are a close-knit group - that's my favorite thing in this forum. I hope we will keep it this way ETSA inmates. Love you all! And I'm sorry I was so late to welco...

Happy 45th, Dave Pirner!

Since it's already April 16th in my side of the world, I might as well be the first one to greet:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVE!

Re: Dan the Man (his open-y shirt-y -ness)

An article on Danny's pin-up collection from today's Star Tribune! His wife is pictured in here, too. http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/art/42767612.html?page=1&c=y Thanks! I clicked on the article's link on Grapefruit Moon Gallery and I must say Dan's collection is pretty neat (no bias ther...

Re: Important announcement about the site

Will a petition do anything to stop this? I really want to help. Is it a matter of money or something?

While you are right, I don't know what else to name ETSA. It's been more than a year and it would be quite sad to just give it all up to a day spa!

Re: New Songs and more shows!

You actually disliked We 3? Yeah - and believe me, now that I think of it, I could not remember how i could not like it! The song is absolute genius and somehow, I didn't just get its beauty before... Or maybe I didn't quite experience the fullness of life yet, that's why I haven't grasped its mean...

Re: New Songs and more shows!

got my hopes up there! I feel your pain, Zany. But there's an upside (a Silver Lining) to it. The more I wait for a new SA material, the more I come to appreciate them more. You wouldn't believe it, but I just discovered how powerful the songs We 3 and Summer Of Drugs are! Seriously, I dislik...

Re: Which is your favorite album-to-album transition?

In the ends, I voted for SWYW->MTBB. While the transition is considered as the most dramatic by most fans, I think it's also the most appropriate one. SWYW was an album full of punk and youthful energy, while in MTBB, the songwriting became more mature, the music style became toned down, but the "pu...
