Re: Mound,MN Blast 5-2-2009
Hey - I go to a Catholic school! :P Haha, don't worry, I'm not looking for a fight, I was just teasing you... Anyway, I'm so glad that SA is filling up their days with shows. Yay for everyone! And, as Tracy suggested, it might be helpful if the young-ones can come join the fun too (I'm sure John or ...

Re: Which is your favorite album-to-album transition?
Hmmmm - I can't decide among WYWO-Hang Time; Hang Time-Horse; LYDLS-CFAS.
I HAVE to listen to all of them again to make my decision.
By the way - nice poll Jakob. I wonder how you get all these cool ideas for polls?

Soul Asylum's Genre - Once And For All
This happened to me on countless occasions already - I have to find a way to solve it! My classmates, who are under a self-formed indie band, are trying to "discover" other music. They are quite interested in Soul Asylum (I was ecstatic!) and I was obliged to answer their questions. Something stumpe...

Soul Asylum in the Grammy's
My gosh, this post is soooo late. Apologies.
Anyway, when Runaway Train won the Best Rock Song in 1993, did Dave as the songwriter gave a speech? Did Soul Asylum perform or accepted the award as the performing band?

I think "Suttle (sic, Subtle) Thorns" was the worst name they have considered.philipgar wrote:At least it's better than Loud Fast Rules.
No way! I always find Soul Asylum's name as appealing as their music. It provides enough mystic to get to know the band better. It's also quite sensual if you ask me...

Re: Song versus song
You can hear Miss This when they are on that bridge after those twin tornados made those cows fly through the air and the other guys arrive with the car. I certainly did look for it when I watched the movie earlier tonight...but I had to be away (get called by parent do do something) at exactly tha...

Re: Downloads
Thanks for porting the songs, Jim and Mike. I promise to help out with the lyrics if all my work are finished!
I think the 2nd Forever And A Day is a bit better. I can't distinguish which one is original though, but it sounds cleaner and more comprehensible.

Re: New Chat Room for Site
I'm having problems with the chat. Every time I log in I see empty boxes (my name doesn't appear in Online Users box). The logout button doesn't work. Nor could I type anything in the text box.

Re: Future musical direction
If we were to compile all of our requests so far into a single idea, it would probably look something like this: Dan performing a funk version of Freak Accident with Dave backing him up on the saxophone. Throw in a dance number of Tommy and Michael to boot ROFL  Seriously though, I do wish the...
