Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
I have "Hallowed Ground" mentioned in my show write-ups from Cedar Rapids (2002) and Fargo (2002).
Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
Outside of Dealing, which you say isn't from the Overreactors, I don't recognize any title sfrom that night. Which ones are they?
EasyStreet wrote:ok, that site does not like multiple tabs in the same browser as after so many tabs being open nothing plays anymore.
Here is what plays for me, at least for un released material
Change of Fortune
Catching Fire
Cool
Dealing (not the same song from that Reactors show)
Don't Bother Me
Doomsday
Draggin The Lake
Ladies Man
Moonshine
Morgans Dog
Make It Real
Oh Karl (I've heard this live about 3 or 4 times now)
A couple of these I can't say I like very much, gotta relisten again to figure out what songs they are though, but for the most part I like the material. What I really like is the amount of songs on here that were played at that Overreactors show

Alyssa, thank you so much! I just got a show that was working and I ran there to hear!AlyssaJones wrote:Go here: http://www.warnerchappell.com/searchlirinha wrote:Hello friends!
Where did you get to hear all the songs? Can give me a link, please? Thank you very much.
Then type "Soul Asylum" into the search box.
Click the little pink "other" box when the results come up.
Click on Soul Asylum.
Click on the song you're interested in hearing.
Click on the "masters" box/tab.
A little play button will appear and you can hear the clip.
Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
It seems to me a bit more experimental than the other albums. But as the "Closer" said, it is really difficult to give a more concrete opinion with a few seconds of music. Anyway, I am very happy and anxious.

Yaz --> Hallowed Ground for one, which now has a different name
Sometimes I wonder.....why is that Frisbee getting bigger? And then it hits me.
Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
Thanks. But the comment "What I really like is the amount of songs on here that were played at that Overreactors show" makes it sounds like there are many tunes from that show.
Since I already know that song, I went and listened tot he album clip. Oh man, I can't wait to get in the car and go for a drive and blast that song!! I hope the rest of the stuff is just as good!!
EDIT: Actually, Doomsday/Hallowed Ground isn't an Overreactors song anyway. It's from 2001, so it's more of TSL outtake.

Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
seems to me there are others also on that site, but maybe just not going to be on the new album. I could be mistaken too

Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
I seem to remember a recent interview with Dave where he said that he is finally able to work with some older music now that there are new musicians in the band. So I guess that's why he is bringing back some stuff out of the vault.
I also remember reading that Michael has challenged him to take more command and make decisions about the music as opposed to in the past it sounded like it was more of a consensus amongst all the members. He said something like in the past he treated being in the band like a gang and Michael purchase it like it's a job. He said these are your songs you do what you want to do. So maybe Dave feels like there's more freedom now to go in different directions.
It definitely sounds like the new music will be unlike anything we've heard from the band but I'm very excited about that. they have yet to put out an album that I did not enjoy.
