Just recently heard Bill Withers' Ain't No Sunshine after a long time, and think SA could do an amazing cover of it. I get a vision of Dave sitting up front on stage with his acoustic guitar, and launching into this song, similar to what he did for String of Pearls at the 07 Holiday Show. :)

So frustrated. Get up anyway.
So complicated. Changes every day.

And the light, will come shining through.

Slim Dunlap is opening the zoo show. I'd love to see him/ Tommy lead us (the audience) through a couple of 'Mats songs.

Considering some of you are Dire Straits fans, I can't believe no one's suggested anything by them! I'd love to hear Dave and Company play Sultans of Swing!

Judging by some of their own humorous picks - I'm gonna cast another vote (previously suggested some Neil Diamond)

How 'bout 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton or Copa Cabana by Barry Manilow

Just imagine it for a minute...you'll chuckle.

The other day me and my brother were talking about how hilarious it would be if they covered "Surfin' Bird" by 60's Minneapolis band The Trashmen. It would annoy the shit out of the audience, but it would be funny as hell.

Can't you just see Dave and Tommy hamming it up with "Copa Cabana?"

Inspired choice, CULater!

I could see Dave and Tommy doing that. SA has covered "Mandy", another Manilow song, so I guess Copa is in the realm of possibility.

I remember a show at the Cabooze when Karl's bass quit workin, so while they were tryin to get it fixed Dave broke into a cappella Mercedes Benz from Janis Joplin. The girl I took to the show wasn't gettin into SA at all until they played that song which was one of her favorites. It was all good after that. They fixed the equipment and it was back to rockin. That night was the first time I heard them cover Jukebox Hero too.
