I'd love to hear "I Did My Best", "Fearless Leader" and "Rhinestone Cowboy".

I guess I've been lucky. I heard "Rhinestone Cowboy" in Raleigh, although they blew the speaker on my digital camera, haha, so no recording. I heard "Whoa!" by The O'Jeez at The Point in Atlanta, and "I Did My Best" quite a few times. I've also heard "Stranger" once or twice.

I'd like to hear

P-9
Can't Even Tell
Sexual Healing (although I might faint)

Can't think of any more right now, but I'm sure I will later.

great but ignored song

One of my favorite soul asylum songs has always been lucky one. The song was buried on the Chasing Amy soundtrack and I find that even a lot of soul asylum fans don't know about it.

Beautiful beautiful song.

Any other fans of that song here?

Yes. Lucky One is real nice. There was no official soundtrack, unfortunately.

I would like to hear any of these in addition to the great sets they do now:

Stranger
Sexual Healing
Rhinestone Cowboy
Just Like Heaven (they did that last year at First Avenue)
I Will Still Be laughing
Nice Guys
Ooh La La
Brand New Shine
Tied to the Tracks
Close
I Did My Best
Promises Broken
Slowly Rising (last time i heard that was in 2002!)
Jump
Spinnin'
See You Later

"Made to Be Broken" with the medley-break. It was super-fun when they used to do this back in the day.

Ok, don't kill me, 'cause I may be wrong...but I think they DID do "Easy Street" at the Hollywood Clambake gig last October. "Lucy" was there, and so was "EFISH". Am I right guys? They closed out the show with "Rhinestone Cowboy". There is a clip of it on MySpace (sounds and looks pretty rough but you get the idea).

Peace,
Carol

well, a full (or partial) setlist never was reported for that show, so it is possible that it was played. However if I were to take a guess (I wasn't there of course), Easy Street was not played at that show.

Again, its possible it was played; but from what I have on record, the First Avenue holiday show (12/21/07) was the first time Easy Street was played since November 6, 1993.

Hollywood Clambake

Post by lucy »

I have set list from the Clambake show (not in order):
Somebody to Shove
Lately
Bus Named Desire
Oxygen
Stand Up and Be Strong
Without a Trace
Cartoon
Runaway Train
Black Gold
Misery
Bittersweet Heart
Gone Til November
Crazy Mixed Up World
Just Like Anyone
All is Well
Rhinestone Cowboy

That's my video on myspace - it is pretty grainy because it was too big to upload, but there are some shorter clips on there that are much clearer as well.
