I was inebriated the first time they played this song in public. It was at the Cabooze bar in Mpls. and it was Dave and Dan alone playing it on electric guitars. Fantastic. I hope I do not come off like a name dropping butthead on here, but I lived in Mpls. during the heyday and saw every freaking show...and it was freaking awesome...so there.

i hear ya, i have seen them over 2 dozen times mostly aroung the and the horse they rode in on and grave dancer's era.

oh, and fav. song on hangtime: very hard to pick, i'd say endless farewell.
to me in symbolizes dave's beginnings to a new side of his writting.

For me SA's second best LP, and includes my favourite song of theirs period: Beggars and Choosers. So no guessing what I voted for. There are no bad songs on this album, just ones that aren't as good as Beggars...lol. Sometime to Return, Standing in the Doorway, Marionette, Twiddly Dee could have easily got my vote too.
A brilliant LP, they don't make 'em like this any more. No-one. Not even SA.
I first saw them on this tour in London, and that gig remains one of the best gigs I've ever witnessed. Seems so long ago now...

I voted for Twiddly Dee because I cannot get that song out of my head and it is so catchy! I tried to sing it during lunch and my mom said something along the lines of "You know, you're not going to like Soul Asylum forever. It's just a phase." This vote was really hard, too. I was thinking about Ode and Beggars and Choosers, but Twiddly Dee really caught my attention.

The first five songs could all be my favorite depending on the day as well as Ode 'cause of the lyrics which are great. Heavy Rotation is another fine song as well. I would like to see this album remastered or whatever, I have to turn it up and the mix could have been a little cleaner IMO. Great album and one of my favorites.
