What song would you like to hear SA cover?

Discuss any aspect of Soul Asylum, their music, and the band's members.

If we are talking cover songs in concert; I need to poo-poo this thread and say none. They have to many of their own songs I want to hear and haven’t for a while. (Sometime to return come to mind?)
Monolith Maniac
Jukebox Hero
I thought they did this song as a joke and “butchered” it on purpose. Sorta of a disdain for the "album oriented" rock radio format that permeated at the time.

Thanks so much for sharing this, LittleTooClean! I LOVE it!

Soul Asylum should definitely put this version of "The Hokey Poke" back into rotation in the live shows!

Watching this Hokey Pokey clip suddenly makes me fantacise about SA playing a semi-benefit show for me in the tiny bar next to where I used to work (the owner is a former client who used to chat with me about music, he's a really cool biker guy who was interested in looking into booking Soul Asylum once many years ago, but the booking agency never responded to the fax we sent) and requesting them to do the Hokey Pokey, 'cause I think it would be fun for me to try to actually DO the Hokey Pokey as a form of rock n roll fueled physical theraphy. And if I fall on my ass in the attempt to hokey pokey, that would just make it even more fun (provided I didn't break any bones in the process, of course)

Here are some fun cover songs they have played over the years.

Some you may have heard before because they are Soul Asylum classic covers.

Some maybe not.

More are on the way and I will add them to the playlist.

But it's nice to have them all together in one spot.
Enjoy :D
