I can't be the only one to have noticed this...
This is kind of a dumb thread, but did anyone else ever notice that at 2:35 in Runaway Train you can hear Dave in the background saying "ha!" I mean, he's not really saying it, it kind of sounds like he opened his mouth to sing but stopped himself. I don't know, it's really dumb, but I was just wondering if anyone else ever noticed it.

I hear the part you're referring to, but I don't think it's Dave (or anyone) saying anything at all. It sounds like its part of the drums or some wooden instrument being hit (or possibly background noise).
I assume this is the part (I removed some of the surrounding noise to make it a little more clear).

i dunno. from the short clip you've provided - it sounds more like a snare crack w/ reverb thrown on it.

Hm. Maybe you're right. The first time I ever noticed it I put it on AB repeat and played it over like 16 times trying to figure out what it was, and to me it sounds like Dave's voice, but I could be wrong.
