The only thing I have to add is that when I asked Tommy if he helped finish Chinese Democracy, he clearly and distinctly said "no." Not sure what his association with G'n'R is at this point. Not sure he would say on myspace either...

Hey Lucy,

I joined into this discussion kinda late...but there is another twist to the Chinese Democracy tour/Tommy discussion. There is some speculation that Axl Rose is favored to replace Robert Plant in the upcoming Led Zeppelin tour since Robert isn't interested in joining the rest of the gang. According to reports I've heard, they wouldn't call themselves Led Zeppelin, but would consist of Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham, and a to-be-named lead singer. If that happens, wouldn't that throw a bigger monkey wrench into the GNR tour? Discuss.....

Peace,
Carol

Hey lucy. :) So glad to see theyre playing O-town in march. :)

As for Tommy, I have heard GNR are planning a big tour for '09. Definetly won't start till late February atleast though. I'm really hoping it doesn't start till late March because I've always wanted to see Tommy with S.A!

Also just wanted to throw out there that GNR, S.A and the Mats have always been my 3 favorite bands and it's so crazy that Tommy has been a member of all three. :P

This would be a travesty.

Axel Rose is a prima dona. Anyone that shows up if / when they want to for a concert and disrespects their fans they way he does doesn’t deserve to be on the same stage with Jimmy Page/ John Paul Jones; let alone sing Led Zeppelin songs.

Well, I totally agree with you there. I would rather see Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes or Ann Wilson of Heart do Zeppelin than Axl. But they are not asking me! I did get to see GNR live once. Since it was many moons ago, and at a stadium, I don't remember all that much. I actually remember seeing Jimmy Page when he was touring with The Firm, much better (smaller venue) and BC (before children). Any new news regarding tour dates?

Peace,
Carol

The album didnt sell as many copies in the first week as some people were hoping for.

Velvet Revolver has been dropped from their lable.

The rumor is Axl has been trying to contact former Guns members.

I smell a reunion of sorts in the works

That would be so great, but I doubt it unfortunately.

I thought that when Wieland was thrown out. Money talks if Axl's BS doesn't make the boys walk.

Wait wait! We're losing focus here - we're supposed to be concerned over Tommy being taken away from us to tour with Guns N - not encourage that sort of thing : )
