Hope Rocks Vol. #2

Post by norma023 »

according to this link, a cd was recently released that features a (brand new?) SA song on it

Anyone know anything about this song, or buy the cd yet?

More info about the cd itself can be found here

Good catch! I haven't heard of that before, but the song itself ("Midway Souvenirs") seems to be a cover of a song by Minneapolis band White Light Riot: http://www.thesixtyone.com/whitelightri ... irs/21063/.

That's it!

A few months ago my mom told me she heard something on WDVE about some kind of charity CD coming out in October that SA was going to have a song on and that's it!

I was going to post something about it then, but I didn't really know much about it so I didn't bother.

Thanks for the info.

So the question is, who's got it and wants to send me the mp3? I mean, we wouldnt be stealing from SA right, they did it for charity, we would be stealing from the charity. Alright fine, ill just buy the damn CD.

DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!! STOP!!!!!!!!!

Great big Fail. The Actual website where it is sold doesn't list the tracks. It just says the artists, but nowhere mentions what tracks they play. The websites that do list the tracks are unaffiliated, and WRONG. Sorry guys, no new song.

Who knows where they came up with "Midway Souvenirs", but its not correct. I just got the Disc Delivered, and track one is Soul Asylum - Stand Up And Be Strong. Album Version from Silver Lining.

I got all mad, and went back to the website... I was gonna complain, then I noticed they never say the tracks, its the other websites that do. Oh well.

What a let down though. I was all excited waving the envelope in my wife's face going, "new SA song..." singing it, and jumping around. Opened it, read the back and felt like I got kicked in the gut.
