Great thanks for "TELL ME WHEN" chords and the links. You should add this song and the others from Your list to ultimate-guitar.com. It is a chance to enlarge the number of SA chords and tabs and exchange information between SA fans-guitarists. I have put some chords and tabs this year on ultimate-guitar but I am not sure if everything was 100% correct. I put “By the way” but I need to discuss this song and chords for “Stranger” and “Gullible's Travels”.

These are my chords

"By the way"

E 022100
Asus2 002200
A6 002222
B 224442

E
If I could remember what makes me feel good
Asus2
I'd pound it down like a nail in wood
E A6
I'd never let go of that feeling again I know

E
I know that I felt this way before
Asus2
I'd pound it down like a cellar door
E A6
I want you to know I'm behind you, by the way

E
By the way that you look when I confront you
Asus2
By the way that I affect the things you do
E A6 B
By the way did I tell you I can't leave you, by the way

E
I'll be waiting for you on judgment day
Asus2
To watch all these judgments pass away
E A6
And by the way the details fall, by the way

E
By the way all the people that care about you
Asus2
Are all watching to see what your gonna do
E A6 B
By the way have I told you I can't leave you, by the way

By the way that you built me up again
Back to a time when I was intense
And now I know you play for what you pay

By the way that you make me feel all right
By the way that you put up such a fight
E A6 B
By the way that my trust and faith is safe with you
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I put also “Gullible's Travels”

Chords:
Am 002210
C 032010
Em 022000
G 320033
F 133211
C* 335553
G* 355433

Verse 1,2,3,4 Am C Em(???) G
Am C Em(???) G
F F

Is it correct ?

Chorus:
C* G* F F
C* G* F F
C* G* F F
C* G* F F

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And I did chords for “Stranger”. Did I miss something or put incorrect chords?

INTRO: C F (x2)

C F
I said hey brown girl, I've seen your tears through the window of the
C
junkshop downtown Selling trinkets from your far off homeland, did the
F
promised land let you down?
C F
I said hey young boy I notice that you ain't afraid to walk next to me
C F
Old man, you look like you're dying, is that all you want, is a quarter from me?
C F G F C
Oh, sometimes I feel like a stranger and I feel even stranger

C F (x2)

C
I'm just another face in a faceless crowd, I'm just another king in a
F C
headless crown, I'm so alone. You know I live here in this city, but
F
this place it just ain't nobody's home
C
Now how many times do I got to tell you
F
There's no such thing as a man made world?
C
And how many times do I got to tell you
F
There's no such thing as a man-tamed girl?
C F
Sometimes I feel like stranger, and
G F C
I feel even stranger

C F (x2)

C F
I want to buy some flowers for my mother, if I only had another chance
C F
You see I've got a happy family, but that's oh so far away
C F
You see I've got it all here inside me, but I just can't seem to get it out
C F
But I know with a little imagination we can work this whole goddamn thing
out

C F G F C
Oh, don't make me feel like a stranger, and I feel even stranger

C F (x2)

I found your chords for “Stranger” and “Gullible's Travels” a few weeks ago and I think they are right. They sound very good to me and I am very glad that you worked them out and share them with us! Many thanks from Germany :)

Thanks for those chords oxygen. They sound spot on to me. I always played By The Way as E A B with variations, so same diff.

With Gullible's Travels, think you're right to be suspicious of that Em in - Am C Em(???) G

Watching Dan play it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WGetlgxCc8), it feels more like C/Em 022010 or even C/G 320010. Hard to pin it down from that vid though, as I'm left handed ;)

Here's a couple more from Horse heading for ultimate guitar, see what you think...

Spinnin'

Intro
C Bb C Bb x2

C______________Bb_______C_______Bb
Follows me wherever we go
C__________Bb______________C_______Bb

F___________________C______________F______________C
When the cause is lost you find there is no point in winnin'
Am______________G_____________________F______________C
Then it's hard to think straight when your head it keeps on spinnin'

C_____F_____G______F______G______C
If I lost my mind, would you help me find it

Maybe it's you, maybe it's me
Things aren't quite the way they should be
And now it seems my peace of mind has come up for the biddin'
All those I respect and trust I guess they were just kiddin'
And they will say it's me who's lost, and you sit there grinnin'
My little world has lost control but still it keeps on spinnin'

C_____F_____G______F______G______C
If I lost my mind, would you help me find it
C_____F_____G_____________F________G
If I lost my mind, I wouldn't have to be reminded

Solo (?)

Verse

See, I do believe anger
Is offset by sorrow
What you destroy today
You might regret tomorrow
When you're young and defensive
It comes off offensive
And its hard to repay
The tolerance that you've borrowed

The lasting relationship
Sinks right off the pier
Who wears the pants
It's faded but clear

Chorus

Seems she ain't too fond of me
Bb

________C
There we were just we 3

You, your girlfriend, and me

Intro

Verse

I've known you forever
You two just met
So easily amused
How fast we forget
And my jealousy
My self-righteous greed
She's a bit like a book
I'm too farsighted to read

And I wish you the best
I sometimes feel the need
To say "Remember me"

Chorus

Yeah, she's your girlfriend
As far as we can see
Does she look at you
The way she looks at me
And here we are, just we 3
You, your girlfriend, and me

She's your girlfriend
It's getting harder to see
Better just take her home
Better just let it be
When she walks out that door
You'll come looking for me

Spinnin’ and We3 sound great Tonem ! Thanks for Your suggestions about my chords and wait for your Vail of tears. Tonem how about NO MAN’S LAND ???
And Caged Rat thanks for Your opinions. I have always problems with solo parts in SA songs. I have taken some from ultimate-guitar.com but I never found Black Gold solo. Have You ever met this solo? I watched many times “Black Gold” video from different concerts but the only thing I did is the chords (below). I also tabbed “Grounded” watching the MTV Unplugged concert. I am adding “To my own devices” from the great album “Let Your Dim Light shine”. Hope You enjoy these songs. As always I will be waiting for Your comments and corrections of these songs.

Thanks so much for the chords oxygen, been looking for Grounded and a correct version of Black Gold :) Can't help much with the solo, sorry, I'm pretty hopeless with solos as you can see ;). As for the C/E in To My Own Devices, sounds okay to me. I had an old version of the song where instead of C/E Am, the chorus goes C - Cmaj7/B - Am, otherwise identical.

Dunno about No Mans Land, will have a listen. Not 100% on these two, but here's Veil Of Tears and The Break.

Veil Of Tears

Intro
C#m B A B E x2

C#m______B______A________B______A______E
Well, a fascinating sensation, no I can't even feel it
C#m______B______A_____B_________E
I just had to let you know I can't conceal it
C#m______B______A_______B________A_________E
I was recently considering taking the pain with the pleasure
C#m______B______A
Just to find my way to the bottom of this
B_____________E
I'll have to dig forever, and it's no small measure
A__________________E______A
Lift up your veil of tears

C#m______B______A____________B______A______E
Don't be disappointed child, if your prayers go unanswered
C#m______B______A____________B__________E
We are not responsible for these sad circumstances
C#m______B______A____________B______A______E
Secret agents and freedom fighters on those impossible missions
C#m____________B______A

Thanks Tonem for the songs. Your chords sound perfect to me. I hope you will add them to ultimate too. If You want to find any song or unique live concerts of SA there is also a great website created by one of the biggest fans of SA – LittleTooClean. He is also a very active member of this forum. This website helped me many times. You can find there “No man’s land” and many many many more…… I recommend You to listen to an acoustic concert of Dave Pirner and Dan Murphy on APRIL 1993 in Minneapolis.
http://s1.webstarts.com/LittleTooClean/

How about Grounded. Is it 100% OK?

This time I want to share with two songs “The game” and “Cradle chain”.
Wait for Your another chords maybe something from Silver Lining or Dave's solo album Faces & the Names ????

Please don't ask me how I am
A little tired, a little scared
I'm not amused, not upset
Don't need a leash, I'm not your pet

So loosen up, feel the breeze
Let me hear— hear you breathe
It's better than, bitter now
When you breathe I love that sound

But you know I'll look after You like no one

Give it up, give it a name
The child that remains
Nothing's lost, take these chains
Take them away

If I die before I wake
Light a fuse, bake a cake
I don't mind if I go
Make it quick, don't be slow

Lose the cradle chain
Give it up, give it a name
The smile that remains
Will take these chains away

Thanks for the link, visited LittleTooClean's excellent site before but must've missed that Dan & Dave show. It helped a lot.

Grounded and The Game are perfect. For Cradle Chain (great song, cheers for that) I have Em7 on the verse instead of E, but otherwise spot on.

Only had time for a quick stab at No Man's Land, it could use some fleshing out. Just uploading a bunch of old Candy tabs I found to Ultimate, so look out for those soon.

No Man's Land

Verse

G (alternate 320003 320033)

In a town without a name
There is no shame, no fame to claim
One fine day the pilgrims came
And made new rules for an old game

F___________________________________G
And I'm waiting for the garbage man to take you away
F___________________________________G
And I'm searching for my playground so I can go and play

G______________C______________F
From out of the dust came corrosion and rust
F______________C_______G
That made you look so cheap
G______________C______________F
There's nothing to have here and nothing to hold here
F______________C_______G
And nothing that you can keep

C_____________________G
Now understand this is no man's land
_______ D________________G
And it's all that's left that's free
C____________________________G
Where the kings of nothing rule, my friend
_______ D______________G
And you can't make me leave

Hey Tonem ! I am glad that my last chords - Grounded and The Game - were ok. And thanks for Your suggestion about Cradle Chain and quick help with “No man’s land” chords. Hope You will add all Your chords to ultimate-guitar too.
Now I am working on “Crazy mixed up World”. It takes me a lot time to set the chords in order. But I think I have made a progress. Today I have “Stand up and be strong”. Hope You enjoy it. Any suggestions or corrections are welcomed.

"Stand up and be strong"
from "The Silver Lining" album (2006)

---------------D
You might be right
---------------G
You might be wrong
-----------------C---------------G---------------A
You might just think your life has gone on for too long
----------------D
Your knees get weak
----------------------G
And your heart grows cold
-------------C-------------G--------------A
And you're tired of doing everything you're told

Chorus:

------C----------------D
And nothing can take away from you
C-----------------------A
What you take and what you've been through
-------------------D
Stand up and be strong
-------------------G
Stand up and be strong
----------------C
It won't take long
---------------G
You can't go wrong
------------------A
Stand up and be strong

You might have to fight
You might have to cry
You might have to cry
You might have to fight
Stand up and be strong
If you live in the hills
You take too many pills
If you've lost the thrill
Against your own will
Stand up and be strong

And nothing can take away from you
What you take
Well, you know what you've got to do
Stand up and be strong
Stand up and be strong
It wont take long
You cant go wrong
Stand up and be strong

If you get all depressed
When you get undressed
If you're life's a mess
Remember you're blessed
Stand up and be…
Stand up and be…
Stand up and be strong
Stand up and be strong

It won't take long
You can't go wrong
Stand up and be strong
Stand up and be strong
Stand up and be strong
Stand up and be strong
You can't go wrong
It won't take long
Stand up and be strong

Stand up and be strong sounds fine, great song. In the verse and at the end of the chorus D sounds better to me than A, although this A is definitely right:

C-----------------------A
What you take and what you've been through

I've submitted most of Candy to Ultimate uncredited, as I've no idea who tabbed them. Here's See You Later, a favourite of mine. The verse tab was already worked out, I just added the pre-chorus and chorus chords.
