Thanks for your Hopes Up and Growing Into You corrections. Both tricky songs to get right acoustically, but I think you did a great job. Yeh, the Palais concert rocks. Soon we'll be able to play along to every song ;)

Here's a favourite of mine, a terrific unrecorded Dave & Dan live tune:

Wandering Eyes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhKNYCvC-wo

Intro:
C Am F G

C____________Am
Never have I ever asked you
C______________Am
what is missing from this picture
C _____Am____F ____G_______C_______Am_______F_______G
that I painted for you yesterday

C______________Am
I say better late than never
C______________Am
You say nothing lasts forever
C _______Am_____F ____G______C_______Am
We say that it happens day to day

F____________________________Am
And it’s all in the way that you look at it,
_______C______________G
that makes you look this way
F_______________________Am
It’s all in the way you get used to it,
C__________________G
that makes you go or stay

C ______________Am________F _______G
But nothing can stop these eyes from wandering
C ___________Am_______F _______G
Nothing can stop these eyes from wandering
C ______________Am_______F ________G_______C_______Am
Nothing can stop these, stop these wandering eyes

C Am

Once I had a superstition
that I was on a secret mission
to make everyone see things my way

And it’s all in the way that you look at it,
that makes you look this way
It’s all in the way you get used to it,
that makes you go or stay

But nothing can stop these eyes from wandering
Nothing can stop these eyes from wandering
Nothing can stop these, stop these wandering eyes

Instrumental:
C Am (x3)
C Am F G

Notice that I forgot to mention
now that I’ve got your attention
I did not want you to see me this way

But it’s all in the way that you look at it,
that makes you look this way
It’s all in the way you get used to it,
that makes you go or stay

But nothing can stop these eyes from wandering
Nothing can stop these eyes from wandering
Nothing can stop these, stop these wandering eyes
Nothing can stop these eyes from wandering
C ___________Am_______F ________G_______C
Nothing can stop these, stop these wandering eyes

I'll be gettin' 'round to the square really soon
I'll be gettin' 'round to the square someday soon
I'll be gettin' 'round to the square root
I'll be gettin' 'round to it someday soon

Thanks Tonem for Wondering eyes and Square root. Both sound perfect to me. I must say that I have almost forgotten about “Wondering eyes” till You submitted the chords. The lyrics of this song is great. And below my first steps in “Caged rat” chords. This song is definitively non acoustic. Wait for the help.

Caged rat

Intro: Bb
G ______________A
Why don't you go home and crawl into your hole
Why don't you go home and spend some time alone

G______Bb__________F
In the corner I looked across the room
____________Eb______________Bb
To the other corner, I knew I'd be there soon

G____F
Caged rat (×12)

Bb_D_C_Bb_D_C_D

Bb
In the corner (×3) I looked across the room
I knew I'd be there soon, in the (other) corner

Caged rat (×12)

Bb__D__C
__D________C__________D___C
(Awoooooooooo x4)

D____C_________A
Why don't you go home and crawl into your hole
Why don't you go home and spend some time alone

Bb
From the corner I looked across the room
To the other corner, I knew I'd be there soon

Caged rat (×12)

Bb______D_____C
D______C___________Bb
(Awoooooooooo ×8)

Nice stab at the chords to Caged Rat, oxygen. Most of it sounds spot on to me, it's a weird song to figure out.

Here's the much simpler P-9 as requested :)

P-9

Intro:
G C D C G

G
Somebody's thinking,
C______________D ______________C______________ G
Somebody's thinking that there might be something wrong
G
Business is sinking,
C______________D ______________C______________ G
Business is sinking and the crew's been casted off
G
Nobody's bailing,
C______________D ______________C______________ G
nobody's sailing, but we're watching here from shore
G
Nobody's working,
C______________D ______________C______________ G
Nobody's working and we better work this out

If we could see eye to eye, you could see just exactly who is small
But I do my job and do it well and go to hell for writing on the wall
There'd be enough to go around if I could just get around you
I am not down, my hands are empty, and they're open and I need something to do

G_______C______________D______________G
And it makes me wonder who I'm working for
_______C__________________D______________G
'Cause I think you know just what I'm looking for
_______C________________D______________G
And it makes me wonder who you're working for

_______C____________________________G
How many children are waiting by your door
G______________D _______C_______G
This is just a child that I'm working for

You gave me nothing, now you're taking it away
I should be walking and making it easy to ignore but I
guess I'd better stay
And I forgave you for all the people you've done wrong
Nobody's working and it's gone on far too long

And it makes me wonder who you're working for
'Cause I think you know just what I'm looking for
And it makes me wonder who I'm working for
How many children are waiting by your door

Is it just a paycheck I'm fighting for?

Only tab I can find to add that list is a version of Endless Farewell:
http://www.fretplay.com/tabs/s/soul_asy ... -crd.shtml

Yep, Hang Time could use some more tabbing. Twiddly dee's always struck me as similar to P9, so I took a quick stab at it...

Twiddly dee

Intro:
G D C G x2

Verse:
G
Twiddly dee fe fo fi fum
D
There's a giant sleeping and his pants are undone
C
He shows no pity for anyone
__________________________________G
He's sure to be killed before the morning comes

Twiddle my fingers and I twiddle my thumbs
'Cause I ain't gonna quit 'til my work is all done
I'm a high society skid row bum
Well on my way to kingdom come

G D C G

Well, I twiddle in the middle of the moon and sun
I'm wishing and dreaming I'm a special someone
Ain't laying my load on anyone
It's way too high and it weighs a ton

Do re mi fe fo fi fum
I'm a slave to the music, it's my father and son
I never force it on anyone
Can't keep it a secret so I keep it on the run

Chorus:
G______________________D
They may say what they say
____________C__________G
'Bout the way that we stay

G______________________D
They may do what they do
____________C____________G
'Bout the things that we do

Hey diddle diddle, did you spill your rum?
Ain't worried about the dumb things I've done
Ain't worried about the dumb things to come
When I smell the blood of a little bit of fun

Hey diddy hi diddy ho hi hum
Sometimes I wanna be friends with everyone
My friends tell me it can't be done
And some days I feel I don't know anyone

Instr:
G D C G x2

Now what goes up doesn't always come down
You'll never believe the things I've found
Amazing what you learn just hanging around
Can't put a square peg in a hole that's round

They may say what they say
'Bout the way that we stay
They may do what they do
'Bout the things that we do

Hey gabba hi gabba do da day
Ain't for winning or for losing it's the pleasure to play
Work all night and I sleep all day
Yes, I guess I'm lucky I can live my own way

G D C G x4

Thanks Tonem for “Twiddly dee” chords. I must say that I am not good at playing guitar in country style but I will try. I will add “Shut down” this week.

I have found on Youtube some unique songs of SA which I never met before. What do You think about them ? Could You help me Tonem with chords for Freak accident ?

Directions is a great song, SA really should record that and Freak Accident. Never Felt Before turned up on Golden Smog's Another Fine Day album.

Anyway, Directions seems straightforward enough, will have a listen to the others. Looking forward to Shut Down :)

Directions

Intro:
F C x2
F C G

Verse:
F________________________C
You're in need of some direction
F_____________________________C
There's a place where you should go
F________________________C
There's a bright spot on the dark side
F________________________C
of a long and winding road

F________________________C
You're in need of some kind of answers
F________________________C
There's a few I used to know
F________________________C
You're in need of some direction
F________________________C
You should've asked me, a long time ago

F___________C__________G
No manual, no right or wrong
F_________________C______________G
Learn the lay of the land as you go along

Chorus:
F____________________________C
And I don't know where you're going
F__________________________C
And I don't care where you've been
F___________________C_______G
But I'm headin' your direction again

You can watch an execution
You can sit there in the stands
There'll be no one there to comfort you and no one to hold your hand
You're in need of some affection
There's someone you should know
If you need someone to call ya
You should've called me, a long time ago

And I don't know where I'm going
But I know just where I've been
And I'm headin' your direction again

Instrumental:
F C x2
F C G

There's a riot on the south side
There's a parade moving slow
Take the interstate just north of here to avoid the rain and snow
You're in need of some information
There's a tourist booth you know
It was put there by the government
And they'll tell ya, tell ya where to go

And I don't know where you're going
But I know just where you've been
And I'm heading your direction again

Outro:
G
F C G

F___________________G________C
Should've asked me, 'long time ago

Thanks Tonem for the chords for “Directions”. Great song.

I enclose Shut down chords. A very complicated song for me. I have put many question marks. Need help!!!

I will be waiting Tonem for Your version of Freak Accident.

"Shut down"

I've been pulled aside and told that life was overrated

G___________A
No, I don't believe it
B___________G
I just can't conceive it
G________A______F#(B or F?)_____________G
I can write all night but in the morning I can't read it

A_____________________E(????)
Oh no, don't know what's the matter
G________________________F
Stuck up on a ladder, scared of coming down
A_______________?(Do not know – D or ?)
If I don't get what I want
A______________________?(Do not know – D or ?)
And there ain't enough to go around

A______B___A_______B
become oblivious to the obvious
A__________ B
Just ridiculous
G____A____
As I flip the pages
B_____G
You're a time that's ageless
G_____A_______F#(B or F ?)_________________G
In between us lies the calm before a storm that rages
A______________G
Thought we were related
B_____________G
Couldn't be separated
G______A________F# (B or F ?)________G
Tried to get ahead but only got decapitated
If I don't get what you want (Don't know what's the matter, trying to hang around)
And you don't get what I need (Looking for a ladder, scared of coming down)
We will become oblivious to the obvious
Just dysfunctional

B____G
Shut down
F#(B?)____E
Shut down
F#_____D
Shut down

Solo: G____F#(B?)___D____F#(B?) ____G____F#(B?)___D____F#(B?)___??????

When I can't get keep from getting down (Looking for a ladder, scared of coming down)
And I grow tired of hanging 'round (Don't know what's the matter, trying to hang around)
I become invisible, unlivable
Just dysfunctional

Shut down (×3)
