It's the weekend before one of my busiest weeks at work, but I am going to do whatever it takes to be there!

Let the shows begin
I will be attending this & the Karl tribute show

Just wish they would release the live show dates sooner than fans finding out the info themselves
Why this still goes on is very odd to me

OK, someone from MN help me out. If I were to fly in..closest airport, hotel, etc. I'd prefer to cab it from the hotel to the venue. I want to act quick on this as I know it will sell out. Thank you!

And, if that doesn't work, I know they will hit IL sooner or later.

The closest airport of course is Minneapolis-St. Paul International. There are alot of downtown hotels within walking distance of the venue, but they're all REALLY expensive this time of year, so you'll probably be at a motel out in the suburbs unless you're willing to spend $150+ on a hotel room. Also, most of the downtown hotels make you pay for parking and it can be as high as an extra $17 a night or more. The suburbs aren't far though, as downtown MPLS is a relatively small area. There are a number of hotels in Bloomington, which is about 15 minutes from downtown.

You can take the light-rail train from the airport to downtown, so having your own vehicle isn't totally necessary if you can get reliable cab service.

I've stayed at Ramada Normandy Inn a couple times - easily accessed from the Metrodome stop, and not too far a walk to the venue.

I would strongly suggest you stay downtown. There are a bunch of nice hotels, just go online and look. If you get a hotel in a suburb, you'll spend way too much time and money in cabs. If you stay near the airport, the hotels will cost just as much as downtown, plus you'll have nothing close but MOA (Who wants to hang out in a mall during the summer when you could be out enjoying Minnehaha Falls or dining/drinking outdoors in Mpls instead?) From downtown you can walk, rent a bike (niceridemn.org) or take the light rail to anywhere you want to go. You won't even need to cab it. The light rail will also take you from downtown to the airport (metrotransit.org)

Alright, me and Jim are officially coming to this one! (and the Entry show if there is one).

Regarding hotels, I just scored a pretty sweet deal on Hotwire and got a 3 star hotel downtown for less than half price. I know I sound just like the commercial, but seriously, if you're looking to stay downtown, TRY HOTWIRE. The catch is they don't tell you which hotel it is until you book, but they do give you enough information for you to make a pretty informed decision.

67 days to go!

omg, 400th post. yay
