It was a great show! I agree they were all so super smiley! It was my first time seeing Justin, I liked him. Loved hearing juice live. Though I had and still have into the light in my head this wknd so was hoping to hear that. But I liked the set list. I Did end up getting sick like id worried but some Tylenol and sweaters and I was ok but had to sit most of the show.
Glad you were able to get in at 7, I can't believe how Un crowded it was!!!! Everybody was saying the casino was empty cuz the weather was so nice. Maybe that had to do w it.

Met some interesting people in line and at our table (not on this site)
The people at our table (got center table right up front! Perfect since I had to sit. Felt like Dave was singing just for me practically!) go to a ton of shows there. I couldn't quite "get" the one of them who was playing a game on her tablet yet kept asking people standing not to block her view. Oh well!

Ps I Bought a tshirt and was kind of embarrassed that I had to exchange the women's one for a men's one. The women's shirts were SUpER tiny!!!!!

The Parking Garage that I usually park in (Indian Summer) was more crowded than I am used to. The crowd for the concert was 'about average' in my opinion; although it seemed like fewer people were crowding the stage than usual.

Lolz! To think of all the hours of my life that I've wasted focusing on the band when I could have been multitasking! Do you think the guys would mind if I place my tablet on the monitors so that I can keep up with Farmville during the next show?

It was great to have all the Mohegan Sun regulars together again this year. Always a blast to see you guys. See you in 2015!

PS: For the record, I have never in my life played Farmville.

thanks for clarifying!!

to be fair in the past i have seen other people playing on their phone during a soul asylum show there but i could tell they were brought there w/ their parent or somebody else who was attentive. i 'get' that somebody isn't interested and is playing a game (ok well i don't really get how you can keep your eyes off soul asylum but... i mean i get that IF you are bored then you'll play a game) the fact that she was ALSO interested in watching the band.!?!?! that baffled me : )

i think it was like a bejeweled type game. i'm not really up on the games myself! if i'm bored i use my kindle app to read a book. but never during a SA show of course : )

I thought someone said she is there for other bands too. Probably one of those people whose only form of "going out" is the casino.

Jeez, first full show of the year (for me, and many of us too, I presume) and we're talking about some lady and her line antics and her tablet?!?

Yeah, I was glad to hear Spinnin, that was awesome. I admit the Juice is kinda growing on me; the music is cool at least. Oxygen is still a great song. Nice to see Stand Up and Be Strong again, which rightfully disappeared for a while, after having been played every night for several years. And yes, there was definitely fewer people there than the last couple years - the line to get in was much smaller.

multitasking? no way! I can barely take my eyes off Dave for a second *sigh*. besides holding my drink or taking a photograph, the only other thing I can do is breathe.

OK, point taken, Rob! Now why don't you get to uploading some of your pics? :)

The band brought their A-game and were even more entertaining than the woman on her tablet/yelling at us in line. April Fool, Lately, and Oxygen were especially rockin', and it's really nice to have Spinnin' back in the rotation. I really didn't understand the "Old McDonald Sing Along"/Summerland reference until we were on our way home, but I was relieved that the rest of the band looked as confused as I felt in that moment.

I have no idea whether we're right about this, but on the way home we remembered that Everclear had acoustic sing alongs as part of their set on the Summerland tour. If memory serves me correctly about the 2 shows that we attended, they both opened and closed their set with an acoustic sing along of Santa Monica. It was....different.

Again, I have no idea if we're right. In fact, I almost prefer to imagine that the bands hung out around their tour buses after the shows and sang Old MacDonald around a campfire. :)
