It was great to see you again Sarah, and getting to meet all of you was fun! Always great to hang out with other Soul Asylum fans. : )

Was cool we got to see & and hear (if you didn't mind hearing SA get mixed in with casino noise) sound check while we were waiting in line to get in. It made waiting go faster. Also got asked if we were in line for the buffet...lol.

I always find it endearing when Dave says that. I *probably* have a limit somewhere, but don't think I'm going to reach it under normal conditions...lol.

The show was awesome! Enjoyed it a lot. : )

Likewise, I think I'd be disappointed if he didn't say that. It's like a trademark of Dave's now, like his mini-speech in the bridge in Stand Up and Be Strong. Wouldn't be the same without hearing it. I'm just glad he didn't use that annoying nasally voice to say "This is the first song off our new owlbum."

I think we were all at the Wolf Den bar at the same time, after the show. now I wish I would've said hello; it's fun to speak with other SA fans. a belated 'hello' to you all. see you at another show perhaps.

love the sentiment... me too!

OneLoveBand:.... as for getting me to minneapolis... i don't foresee that happening : (
sounds fun but w/ 2 little kids it's hard enough for me to figure out how to get to a Jayhawks show 2 hours away in october :( :(

as for songs we loved hearing in the set --- i know "whatcha need" has been in rotation for years now but i always like hearing it because at my very first SA show (wolf den, 2008) it was one of the 'new' (new to me at the time) songs that i remembered getting stuck in my head the "say hello" part.

also i love hearing closer to the stars live. i really like the current 'medium' speed they play it at.

oh show report people you forgot to say the comment he made about how the spin doctors guy said to him it's cool how the song (closer to the stars) is in a minor key.

hmmm what else can i talk about other than the lady's tablet game ;)....

dave's still got no holes in his 'new' jeans.

people need to stop talking about "spinning" because it keeps getting stuck in my head.

any ideas when the next CT show will be!? : )

any speculation on the next album release date?

to be fair in the past i have seen other people playing on their phone during a soul asylum show there but i could tell they were brought there w/ their parent or somebody else who was attentive.
Heh. I brought my sister to a show last year, and both sisters to a few shows a few years ago. They really only know Runaway Train but they were more attentive than that lady. :D

I actually wrote that down during the show, but I didn't want to clutter my set list post with too much of my note-taking. :(

in August I spoke with the guys at a show and I was told they're looking at March, the artwork is pending. that seems like a long wait for artwork but what do I know.

It is probably more than artwork; they are probably planning to tour heavily to promote the album; so a lot of dominos have to put in place so they fall down int he right order.

As fans, aren't we always waiting for a new Soul Asylum album that is "almost ready"? I thought they'd act quick once they got the band solidified; but it doesn't seem like it.
