If you want to embed photos directly into a post, you'll likely need to scale them down quite a bit. I usually do this by opening the photo on my desktop, taking a screenshot of it, then copying it into a paint file and trimming out the rest of the screenshot. (There are other ways, but for me personally it's the easiest.)

Alternatively, you can put them up on a hosting site like Flickr and just post the link to them, or use Img button at the top to embed it from the webpage.
