Edit: since that last post I've been looking into my flights home, found out I can change dates and re-route my flight home to England for just $50 and there's availability out of Chicago on 12th, can I really add an extra 6 days to an 8 month RTW trip, it's damm tempting but have arranged with family & friends to be home on 7th April, so this has caused a bit of a dilema!

Are Soul Asylum headlining, and what are the chances of hearing new material, as if new material is to be played that could seal my decision.

Andrew
They may play new material since they are recording. It is a strong possibility. It does appear they are the headliner. The tickets for sale through Ticketmaster show just them as the act to purchase tickets for. I just bought mine a few minutes ago. Generally if a band is part of a co-headliner another act would be mentioned as well. It looks like it is tickets strictly for SA. They wouldn't be featured for ticket sales if another group was getting top billing and they were just opening, not for a club show anyway.

i'm all for more more more SA in new england... but they WERE 'just' in CT ... which for SA is ... pretty close to boston. hope you were able to make that.

and last spring they were in boston but that WAS almost a year ago now... anyways, i'm hoping for more SA in new england later this year.. like fall/winter when i'm hopefully more functional post-baby :)

EDIT: just reread that you're 14 which probably makes it harder for you to get to CT last month (plus i guess that show was 18 or 21+). sorry! hope they come back to boston for you soon :) (and i hope it's when i can get there too!)

I was at the show last spring in Boston, and I ran into Dave on his way in. He took my dad and I backstage to meet the band-one of the best days ever :D

Okay so I emailed the New Lenox town hall asking about non-residents getting tickets, and they said I can send a check but I have to include an EXTRA TEN DOLLARS for shipping. Ten dollars??? Are they fucking serious? Ten dollars to drop a god damn piece of cardboard in the mail? What is the matter with these people? Is this stupid little suburb so fucking poor that they need to charge me ten dollars for a postage stamp? You know what New Lenox? You can pay for your own god damn Fourth of July fireworks!

I mean, it's not like seeing Soul Asylum isn't worth $70 to me, but I just find it ridiculous to pay $40 for two concerts I'm not gonna go to, and $10 for them to send me the fricken' ticket. And then what if it rains that day and the concert gets cancelled? NO REFUNDS!

This whole show is just weird...
