Sayeeda, I just re-downloaded all those songs you mentioned that you had trouble with, and they all downloaded fine again for me, so Mike's site, Sendspace and the individual files are all functioning properly as far as I can tell.

I think it sounds like you might have had a browser issue where perpaps the the browser kept redisplaying an error message from a failed download attempt (Internet Explorer especially is good at caching errors and just redisplaying those cached error results instead of sending a a new request to a link's URL.

Try it again, now that your comp has been restarted. If you still have trouble, empty your brower's cach, restart your computer again with the cach empty, and try again. If THAT still doesn't work, try using a completely different browser.

I hope that helps. At least now you know the downloads do work and the problem is on your end, and you can hopefully get that resolved so you can complete your downloads of those shows. Good Luck!!!

For the last few months I've been looking for some video clips that I knew I had somewhere in the collection and the good news is that I found most of them.

A few videos I put up on YouTube others I put on my site in the download section.

Here's what I've added to YouTube :

Black Gold - 1993 Inaugural Ball - This is the clip where Dave wipes-out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPaIFg7qm0I

1993 Inaugural Ball news clip
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeK-rIIV4FA

Sweet Relief 2 clip
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juYtBDg7BdU
This one's kinda sad to watch because of what would happen later to Karl

Rehearsal in Canada 1995
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SZ-jBixSBw

I also have found a few GEMS that you can download on my site !!
http://s2.webstarts.com/LittleTooClean/downloads.html

SNL Rehearsal 1993 - The title says it all - what a find !!! - around 30 minutes

Summer Of Drugs - Music Video

Nature's Way - Music Video - Victoria Williams and Dave Pirner

Promises Broken - Version 2 -
I have heard this was the version for Europe or South America.
If you've seen it before please tell me what country you are in and maybe we can sort this mystery out.

I have a few more items I'm looking for, when they are found I will let everyone know.

Enjoy :)
Mike W

Update:
I went back and fixed the volume from the SNL rehearsal.
If you downloaded it earlier today (Feb.9) you should re-download it to get the better audio.

I can't get enough of seeing Dave in that sexy red plaid blazer, so thanks a bunch for investing the time & effort to locate and share all those goodies. :D

I've only watched this one so far but am looking forward to watching them all next week (My wireless broadband died a few weeks ago, and I'm suffering with dial-up for 1 more week until I can get Satalite internet installed on Monday)

One You Tube viewer commented that Dave's fall was an epic fail, but I disagree. Dave's immediate recovery & excellent continued proformance highlight his experience and professionalism. There was no hint of embarassment in his voice at all and he appreared completely unphazed by his fall during the televised performance (I can't recall, was it even televised live?) Very impressive and especially since Dave was already uncomfortable with being filmed. Interestingly, I've seen lots of televised performances where Dave's camera shyness was obvious & he was visibly & audibly nervous, but here when it was waranted, he was calm, cool & collected. Way to go, Dave! :)

Well, thank you, LittleTooClean!
Every now and then I type "Soul Asylum" in youtube to see what I'll find this time, and I did that yesterday too, and found all this new stuff that I hadn't seen before. And before looking carefully I knew you posted them there. Haha, just yesterday I was watching all of these videos you just provided links for :D
I wanted to come here and comment on them and ask you guys about this Sweet Relief video - I didn't know what that was, but then I googled it, so now I know what that is. OK, I just wanted to say all this
Once again, thank you!

Many thanks LittleTooClean for every single item, live concerts of SA and mp3s. You do great job sharing Your collection with people. Thanks to Your website I have started on this forum the thread: A place for SA chords and tabs. That was a great support for me to tab many Soul Asylum songs. I have sent on Your e-mail address some materials of SA which I gathered. Hope You enjoy them. Once more many thanks !!!

I'm working on a 2 disc DVD Soul Asylum collection.
First disc includes all the music videos in the best quality that I've ever seen.
Second disc is various live including some exclusive stuff like this.

From Ann Arbor 1990.

When it's complete I will be doing B&P for this 2 disc collection.

UPDATE:
In the next few weeks I will be changing the audio section on my site from MP3 to flac files.
This may take a little more work on your side but the audio quality will be much better.
For those who don't know flac files are compressed wave files until you decode them.
After you decode them you have a perfect copy of the original.

I started with MP3 to see if people where interested in the downloads and now it's time to upgrade!

The video collection has turned into 3 DVD's

first disc - the music videos
second disc - live 1984 - 1991
third disc - live 1993 - present

Disc one is complete and I'm working on fixing the audio on disc two now.
When complete this will be a nice collection !

And on a totally unrelated note I found this picture
