Thanks! I was going for something just a bit less kitschy than the anniversary graphic yet flashier than the low-key one we had last holiday season, and I think it came out pretty well.

Hey - I know this is quite late, but nice job!
I was, I think, one of the few who saw the redecorating at its early stage. RIP Karl was hidden behind the decos then, and I was afraid it went unnoticed...
Curious tidbit: the broken bottle on top - what is it exactly? Any symbolism or anything I might have missed?

The main reason we put it up there was to add some green color to the header; we made it broken to represent the song Broken Glass (and/or Made to Be Broken).lune ellise wrote:Curious tidbit: the broken bottle on top - what is it exactly? Any symbolism or anything I might have missed?

Very cool idea. Kudos to you guys for making a real effort to prevent the site from becoming "stale", and for having excellent creativity and design skills, as well. I used to work at a print shop as a graphic artist/layout artist, so I know that executing an idea or concept is usually the easy part, but actually coming up with a fresh idea is sometimes agony.Monolith Maniac wrote:The main reason we put it up there was to add some green color to the header; we made it broken to represent the song Broken Glass (and/or Made to Be Broken).lune ellise wrote:Curious tidbit: the broken bottle on top - what is it exactly? For better or worse I think our site somewhat intentionally follows many of the same principles that the band seems to follow when picking out cover and poster art: grab something that looks cool or odd and just toss it in there and see what comes out. Either way, I'm glad you like it.
