Although the site is coming along really well, I still think a pics section would be great. I enjoyed the one at the yahoo! site. Even if we created a group flickr page or something, that would work.

What d'ya think?

i am clueless about flickr but i've seen a few people on here have great SA picture collections on their own flickr sites. it would be cool if there was a way on flickr to link those all together somehow (and only tie those people's SA photos to the common site, not their other pics) and then post that link on this site? sorry if i'm being confusing, maybe somebody who knows more about flickr can say if that's possible. and obviously only if those people who have them want to link them that way - i don't mean to be bossy to you awesome photographers out there!

Yep! The site has definitely come along because the guys are putting in so much work and love into it. Jim must be exhausted after all his work on the Shows! Consider, this isn't even the official site, or even an official fansite! It really is an unofficial site, despite the credit it's gotten thus far; and it's all voluntary for Jim and Jakob, time, money, effort, everything!

Folks, why not just help the guys out after everything they've done for us with this site and the forum?? I'm sure we could come up with an alternative. It could be as simple as organizing our pics into our own SA albums, which we ourselves could publish on whatever site, flickr or whatever, we're comfortable with, and post links to the albums in one thread for all to share.

What do you think? Post your suggestions here, or in the new chat the guys worked hard on putting together for us. :P It definitely works better for me than the other one. :P

So frustrated. Get up anyway.
So complicated. Changes every day.

So the darkness fades
And the light, will come shining through.

Sayeeda's suggestion is good, and I think it could benefit everybody. If a lot of you want a photo gallery on the site, you can all help out by pooling your resources and discussing what exactly should be put into such a gallery.

Should it be sorted by date or by category? If the latter: How many categories? How many photos can we gather up? Should they just be plainly listed or should they have names and/or descriptions?

Answering all of these questions together would make it a lot easier on me and Jim to decide whether and how to implement such a thing alongside our other sections.

As always, we're happy that you're enjoying the site.

Well, if we wanted to have a pictures page, we could always annex Myspace. And if we did that, we could make the page completely public so anyone can see them without having to be signed in or anything.

How to organize a photo gallery would be a good question though, but I'm sure we could come up with something good.

If you like the Myspace idea I'd be happy to make/moderate the page 'cause I'm pretty good with Myspace.

Look at my Flickr photos!

What I think would make sense is linking picture pages from show pages (if they later get put in). That way they're linked to the show they were from.

I'm new here and I realized this topic is very old, however I think a pic section is an excellent idea for the website.

You guys could install a coppermine gallery (with or without integration with the board). You could get people to send images to you or open the gallery for users to contribute...

I am a web developer, so I could help out if you need anything :)
