The Figgs

Post by Miss Fitt 2 »

The Figgs were awesome on Friday night, and a perfect opening band for Soul Asylum. My only complaint is that they didn't get to play longer.

I know they made some new fans. For those of you interested in hearing more, here are a few songs I've seen them do recently that I wish they played at First Avenue.

The Figgs piqued a good number of people's interest on Friday night. It was interesting and kind of amusing to see the surprised reaction I got on several occasions when I told somebody who expressed appreciation for the band that they have played so often in Green Bay over the past 15 years. The Figgs are definitely one of those well kept musical secrets. Anyone interested in seeing some live Figgs can visit my YouTube channel for a new clip from First Avenue as well as older vids from past GB visits. While you're there you'll also want to check out the Soul Asylum videos from the holiday show. Enjoy!

we can't forget one of the highlights of the set: when they busted out the Kink's song Victoria. They really had to dig for that one, and it was absolutely incredible watching the crowd sing along.

this band was really good that night! I'd definately see this band again!
There's also an audio recording of their set up on Dime right now too (for those inclined).
Sometimes I wonder.....why is that Frisbee getting bigger? And then it hits me.
