The Sun Maid
Promises Broken (favorite Dan song)
Easy Street
Stranger (new favorite)
Again, only Bittersweetheart is ranked as first. The others (on both lists) are in no particular order.

So, here are the current 6-12 (subject to change according to mood and passage of a few weeks):

Masquerade
Closer to the Stars
Sometime to Return
Marionette
Something Out of Nothing
Brand New Shine
We 3

There should be some songs from GDU on here. I always forget stuff from GDU because I think of those songs as a unit. I almost always listen to the album as a whole and I like all the songs on it, so I forget to think of them individually as favorite songs.

There are also a lot of later songs that should be on this list. Oh, the pain of excluding other great songs.

How about a top 25 list? That would ease a lot of the sorrow. ;)

Okay, maybe this is cheating because I never answered the top 5 question because it was too hard to narrow down, so here's 10 in no particular order:

Freaks
Never Really Been
Stranger (original version)
Caged Rat
Sometime to Return
Can't Go Back
Made to be Broken
P-9
Closer to the Stars
favorite new song Slowly Rising (live version) with All is Well as runner up

See, I still couldn't stick with 10 even. Sorry

My top 5:

Never Really Been
We 3
Freak Accident
Black Star
Lonely For You

6-12 (in no order again)

Without a Trace
Closer To The Stars
Slowly Rising
Sometime To Return
Nice Guys (Don't Get Paid)
Draggin' The Lake
Artificial heart

Not really sure of this at all, as my tastes change depending on my mood. I was thinking of songs I love to hear and, also would love to hear at shows. Artificial Heart has really grown on me, particularly after hearing the band do it at the Nyes show, it was just such a special moment. Slowly Rising and Sometime To Return are just two of the greatest rock songs the band has, they totally kick ass on them. Closer is obvious, Without a Trace has always been one of my favorite songs, especially the opening line. Nice Guys I would love to hear in concert.... been waiting a long time for that one. Draggin' the Lake is one of my favorites off CFAS, and i always liked that a lot. Honorable mention will go to What We're Dealing With, which got chopped off at the last second to add Artificial Heart.
