"Dad and Dave"

Here's a fun piece of "memorabilia" that I found:
The big title says "Dad and Dave come to town". A small notice in one of the corners adds "Cripes! What this country needs is a darn good laugh!".
At first, I read it as "Dan and Dave," which amused me. Even then, I'm pretty sure that with a little adjustment it could make a fun concert poster.
The picture is taken from one of the collages that my mom uses for her decoupage. The rest of the collage is covered with things like Australian postage stamps and postcards. It turns out Dad and Dave were a popular Australian radio duo of some sort back in the day. Is anyone on this forum by chance familiar with them?
