How sweet it is! Urbana is a mere 2-3 hours away from Chicagoland. Great time of year to enjoy the other twin cities. Corn should be good too! Kudoes to the Urbana event planner who brought this one to us. Be there or be square. Perhaps Dave will have a new joke or two. Suggestions?

I'm sure it'll be corny... (yep, total pun intended!)

Despite their technical difficulties, it was a really good show. They played well and the crowd loved them.

Dave had a lot of trouble with his guitar during the first 3 songs and that did continue off and on for the entire show. Dan had a few issues as well but nothing too bad.
Got to see and hear 2 of the new songs, "Gravity" and "Into The Light", and man are they great live.
Michael's drums on "Gravity" are really amazing and makes this song smoke live.
I was singing "Into The Light " the entire drive home - What a great song!

It was great to see "When I Ran Off And Left Her"

Had another great time with Scott, Meg and my wife (at a show for the first time in a year).

Only bad thing about the show was a few drunk college kids being rude and one female pouring two beers over Meg's head who took it like a trooper and continued enjoying the show!

Here's a short video clip of the end of "Bittersweetheart" and by this point you can see Dave is not happy with his guitar situation for the evening.

Reeeally Grrreat Show! It was so much fun! Everyone was in fine form! Guitar solo on Watcha Need was major awesome! Although with out the usual banter btwn Dave and Micheal. Dave just went into it and smoked it. No guitar issues there. This was the first time I saw any guitar issues with Dave while George was the tech. I thought they were pretty much taken care of quickly. But I also thought Bittersweet was one of the more smoking songs and did not even notice the guitar toss. Keep thinking, show in Biloxi and then in Urbana next night, barely enough time to get there and set up if you are driving, not leaving much room to work out the kinks in between.

I think it was Black Gold dedicated to Karl and Jay Bennet (which was very nice). Change from usual Leave with out a trace dedication to Karl. Also Danny and Dave not getting down on the ground for Black Gold was unusual. Really like what I call the Norwegian Wood rift that Dan and Dave do.

Don't think the really drunk girl was a college student, really sad thing was she seemed to have her daughter with her, who looked about 7. Really sad.
I thought it was only one beer, but she did dump it right on my head. :o

It was very cooling... albeit a bit sticky  Hey we use to wash our hair in beer (and egg ?!?!) when I was a teenager, it was suppose to be good for it. You would not believe how shiny and managable my "locks" are today :D ;)
It would take a lot more to spoil my good time! And the good news is that after that she was gone. She had been pretty annoying up until then.

Thought I had the new songs on my ipod to listen to on the way down. Turns out NOT Grrh. They sounded great, but I don't know all the words yet. Darn. Will have to bone up for the next show which will be... in November? Jones'ing that I don't have one to look forward to, have been quite spoiled that I managed to make it to so many this summer.

Great to meet Patty and Megan! And always good to see everyone!

They had some guitar problems in Biloxi, too. I don't remember which song it was, but Dan's guitar kept going in and out. I guess one of his pedals must have fried, because George ended up bringing out a new effects board while Dan continued on with the song clean.

I have to say, while watching George work during their shows, he's definately earning whatever they're paying him. As a matter of fact, I'd like to make it official and name George as the new "hardest working man in show business". James who?

I'll second that (e)motion :D :D ! Still thinking about how great the show was. First notes Dan played were awful, George had to switch something out for that too.

Everyone seemed to think it was pretty funny! Not the first time and probably not the last...Freak accident ~ Now back to my technical difficulties. Still can't get the new songs on my ipod. Is there a cure for that?

Yep.

First, take your iPod and throw it in the river. Then go to the nearest Walmart and buy one of these fine products:

Seriously though, I'm sure there's a way to do it. Maybe Jim or Pete could help ya out.

(I'm just kidding around though. No offense to you for buying an iPod or anything. I just personally can't stand Apple because they don't play well with others.)

Did you import the songs into your itunes library? If not, they won't be recognized by the device.
