is there a way we can put all our ETSA members locations (for those that provided them) on a pretty map?

i don't really NEED to see this, it just sorta came to me that it would be cool to see where the ETSA fans are located graphically (as in maybe it would encourage the band to play in more of the areas of this site's fans! not that i'm particularly complaining i'm very happy with the frequency they come to CT!)

it's probably a pain since people could type what they want and not in any standard format either. oh well.

p.s. i miss all my ETSA friends!! been so crazy busy with the baby - will be 1 year in april....

I'm pretty sure Google Maps offers facilities for this sort of thing, but I don't have any experience with it myself. There may be alternatives to consider as well. Does anyone else have insight to share?

I remember once upon a time the ojeezitssoulasylum board linked to a map where a lot of us entered our information with a map of 20 or 30 people showing up. It was a pretty cool map, big cluster in mpls, scattering everywhere else. A handful of countries tagged.

Actually I was trying to come across that map a couple months ago. The program was called Frapper; though the link to our map seems to be dead though.

I will happily create a map using Google Maps if there is enough people who would be willing to contribute to such a section. If there are, I think it would be a nice addition if we could possibly have it embedded under the "Other Delights" section of the site where it can be nicely displayed for everyone to see.

i think that's a sign that i'm now too OLD for current technology. so embarrassing. oh well
