The "live broadcast" is when LittleTooClean puts new material up (Tuesdays, 8 PM central time). He hosts as a live streaming show sitting in front of his computer and talks about the videos, upcoming shows, and other miscellaneous Soul Asylum trivia that will be played in the videos during the broadcast.

When you click play on the video player when it isn't live, it's material that has already been put up by him (from past interviews)... maybe think of it as a rerun?.

I don't know why the link isn't working (works for me), but if you click "VIDEOS" on the video player on the front page it'll take you to the page of all previous "live broadcasts" in their entirety (you can also see him in a couple thumbnails in front of the camera). Click on one of them and there you can see what they're all about.

Hope that helped a little more.

OK, this helped, thank you :)
Yeah, I don't know why it doesn't work either, when I click on it, it takes me to a blank page that just stays blank. But ok, if there're other ways to get to the material there

Since were talking Golden Smog..

This is a Promotional Only copy of the "fake box set" 35 Years Of Golden Smog.

It contains "Down By The Old Mainstream" and 2 jewel case only (no cd's) made up releases. It also comes with a 20 page booklet with the made up history and pictures.

NICE !!!! :D

During the interview Dave mentions that "One Way Conversation" was recorded by Michelle McAdorey and he sings back-up vocals on it. Her band was called Crash Vegas and here's some more info with song samples.

And if you missed the holiday show in Minneapolis this past December this is how it looked as the show started with the band playing behind a video screen.

In the past week I have started to add more to the live show archive.

The first one I have added is something that I have wanted to share since I first heard it around 2 years ago!

One thing I can say about Soul Asylum, from the very first show I attended, they like to have fun onstage and if your going to be a smart ass or tell them what to do, they will be a bigger smart ass then you and not do what they were TOLD to do. It's a vibe thing for them and if you mess with it, they will mess with you, all in good fun!

Also if you ever went to a show during the " Hang Time " tour or a show at a college campus from '88-'91 they kinda ended up being a lot like wrestling matches with LOTS of drunk college kids. AAHH the old days :) Anyway

April 15 1988 - University of Minnesota

The show: As a concert goer and a musician I can tell you the one thing you don't want to do before, and during a show is insult the crowd and tell them you will shut the show down if you don't do what we tell you.

Before the show starts security comes onstage to tell the crowd there is no "slam dancing" at the show. 4 songs later the band is interrupted to tell the crowd " Security is on hand and They WILL turn the lights on and shut down the show if the crowd does not stop "slam dancing". Next you hear "Lunch Time" . They must have turned the lights on :)

As the show continues it's seems like everytime they try to stop the crowd the band ROCKS one out! :)
Comments from the band continue and at one point the security comes onstage again to worn again about NO slam dancing again and in proper Soul Asylum form they rip into "Long Way Home".

CLASSIC show :D Great set list

I've added a short clip of some of what I'm taking about.
