question about recording seesions

Post by trudatman »

the Misery single lists copyright dates as 1992, 1993, 1995. Misery and Hope are 1995 tracks, but which is/are from 1992? You'll Live For Now? Fearless Leader? Eric Pierson's involvement doesn't really clear things up and neither does the ASCAP site. anybody know? on the same topic, does anybody know definitively which other bsides and compilation tracks were from which recording sessions? I just remixed Grave Dancer's Union with The Break and By The Way and Square Root, but I'm thinking I may have to add Fearless Leader and/or You'll Live For Now... if you can be of any help, please chime in. thanks for your time. be well and stay smiling.

Huh. Didya ever figure this out? Most of those were originally done live with redone vocals on 1/4" and 1/2" 8 track at their/"our" old space(s) on Central.
Some were originally from 91/92-square root, bytheway. You'll live for now-june 94,Hope was recorded 2 or 3 different times between 93-95. I should look and see if I have the demo and album session notes from 89-98,although I probably tossed 'em. Most everything after that demo wise was either 2" 24 track in LA,1"16 track or live 2 DAT in their/"our" space. Did some overly rushed remixes of outtakes from Dim Light when we recorded "How Do You Sleep". Like I said-dunno if I have the notes. Dunno if anyone still gives a ratsass, tho.

How Do You Sleep is a John Lennon song. They played it live in the late 1990s.

Hey Eric - thanks for posting here and HUGE thanks for all of the shows you worked at!

But yes I think a few ppl here actually care about some of this stuff. I'm sure it may be the select few, but yes, yes, yes!

Have you checked out the archive/shows section on this site? http://enterthesoulasylum.com/shows/

Another link on this forum I think is noteworthy is this one:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1084

If there is anything sitting around anywhere (that you know of) that could be contributed to either of these two areas, that would certainly be appreciated!
(ie old City Pages, Readers, flyers and the like)

Thanks!!
