For all those interested, someone mentioned on the Soul Asylum Facebook page that they had a ticket for tonight they couldn't use and would give away for free...

According to the ticketing section of the Infinity Hall site; only the first two rows are filled. Table seats are not available anymore. I'm not sure if they stop selling those on the day of the show, or if they are sold out.

It looks to be a nice intimate show.

My good "stealth" mics are in the shop and I haven't gotten them back yet. I wonder if I could bring in a "more professional" recording setup. :ha, ha:

The band also got a write up on the Infinity Hall Blog:

It was a bit of a fluff write up if you ask me.

Awesome show; and I enjoyed it much better than the NYC one. ( of course, I was in the second row here ).

The song list was pretty much what you'd expect. Lots fewer covers than NYC.

They played New World; I'm not sure if that was in recent setlists.

They played String of Pearls, which is the first time I've seen that live. It has a different feel than I expected; but was cool to see.

For old songs they had Never Really Been and Closer to the Stars.

For new songs they had By the Way, Gravity, Into the Light, and Take Manhattan. Take Manhattan still sounds like a bit of a trainwreck.

Lately and Whatcha Need were back in the set from Silver Lining.

For covers we had Rhinestone Cowboy, Summer of the Drug, 'into my Arms', and Attacking the Beat. I had never heard Into my Arms before; but it grew on me during their performance.

They did not play Just Like Anyone or The Streets.

And this was an awesome venue.

My recording sounds great; although I only listened to 2 songs on the way home. I'll try to get that up and available over the weekend.

Does anyone thing they'll "mix it up" at all with tomorrow's setlist so us CT folk don't get bored?

Sounds like a great show, been ages since I saw string of pearls. and I Love rhinestone Cowboy....

There are so many lyrics in Take Manhattan, even the chorus changes each time. I would think it would be hard to keep straight. But I love it on the album!! Slippin down the Mississippi, I know it's iffy but how bout the Mississipi, Take the planet you can f**ing have it! I can't get it out of my head.

I am sure they will mix it up. The set lists have been really different from show to show it seems. Have a great time tomorrow.

Wish I had another show to look forward to.

I don't think they played You Generation; even if it was on the setlist.

But I think they did played Shaking Streets as part of the encore.

Wow. I can't even imagine a show without the ripped jeans or "Just Like Anyone." I don't want to. :-(

Yep; I'd estimate roughly 50 people. The "balcony" was a lot more crowded than the "downstairs seats". The place was really small, though.

It was eery sitting in the 2nd row 15 minutes before the band is supposed to go on and realizing no one is sitting in the first row.

A lot of people showed up real close to go-time.

I'm uploading my mp3 edit and the master wav files to drop box and it'll take about 3 hours. I'll try to get them posted in the morning.
