A message from Soul Asylum
We would like to thank Dan for his many years of hard work, as well as his Soul Asylum defining guitar playing. We wish him and his family the best of luck. He will be missed.
Soul Asylum will continue to write, record and perform music just as we have for the last 31 years. We'll see you on tour soon!
Love,
Soul Asylum

On a day when I just got some bad news, at least there a measure of good news. Yin and yang.

Well, I will still follow.
Would you look into my eyes if I were to go blind?

I love Dan, and maybe it's too soon, but I would most definetly go to see SA anytime and be glad to hear the music, the words, and the voice.

Re: A message from Soul Asylum
Who knows... Dan might come back for an occasional reunion show. Don't wanna get my hopes up, but you never know.
I knew they weren't going to be doing this forever, but I just can't believe this has happened this way, and at this particular time. It's so weird. I really thought they were gonna be going for another 5-10 years, and I never imagined Dan leaving. Always figured the end of the road would be more gradual than this.
I'm really sad, but the world doesn't stop because Dan left the band.
C'est la vie...

See you soon... and as soon as possible after that... and after that.

Re: A message from Soul Asylum
I guess I would like to see some clarification on just who is, or isn't "Soul Asylum".
Is Tommy a member still? Officially?
Who is the new guitarist?
So is Soul Asylum officially, Dave and Micheal w/ special guests?
Just curious what a fan should expect to see when they buy tickets.
