I am so there. I wonder if the Highdive is the old Vriners? Anyone know?

I will be going with my daughter, Skyler. She is 16 and can't wait. She is a huge Dave Pirner/Soul Asylum fan. Also, she is an aspiring musician who is greatly influenced by Dave. Check out her cover of "Never Really Been" on
youtube. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSmcpsX0Pmc

I, myself, have been a huge Soul Asylum fan since the earliest of days, so it is a joy to watch my daughter bring their music to a new generation. She gets all of her friends to listen to them and covers quite a few of their songs.

Not looking for publicity for her. Just looking for fellow fans to understand her tribute to a great songwriter and musician.

Looks like it wasn't exactly a solo show. I assume that's Justin though I don't think I've seen him hatless before.

Yep, that is Justin. His hair grows fast! Back in December it was pretty much a buzz cut, now he's got an emo swoop. :P

Yep Justin was there too. The show was so much fun and I got to meet Dave for the first time...glad to say that I did not become too shy too speak

Dave let Skyler do two songs. It was such a cool thing for him to do and he had just met her right before the show. He was very impressed that she had a record player though :) Skyler did awesome too...here's her covering Never Really Been:

Your daughter sounds incredible, nikkip! And what an honor for Dave to call her up to sing; that would be a dream come true for me!

Oh Skyler isn't my daughter -I just met her at the show. My husband and I put the videos together for her. Pines is her dad, he posted a few posts ago. Skyler does sound incredible though!
