Looking for your avatar?

Post by Homesick »

We recently upgraded the forum, which unfortunately meant that the forum can't quite find our avatars.

They are all still available, though. Simply go here and find yours, then restore it manually: http://enterthesoulasylum.com/other/avatars/

Download the file to your computer, then go to User Control Panel > Profile > Edit avatar and upload it.

Did the forum get hacked or did you purposely replace the banner at the top (of all the old pics etc) with the blue crystally thing and the yellow logo?

No, it didn't really get "hacked" (nothing was lost or working incorrectly), but was getting too overloaded with spam. The best thing to do was just reinstall the forum fresh while retaining all the posts, but one of the drawbacks was that the avatars couldn't be transferred over.

The reason for the "blue crystally thing and yellow logo" is that it's part of the forum default theme/skin that we use; its automatically there when you install it (we removed it and added the ETSA header shortly after the site originally opened). It can be changed back, but it will probably be a while before that happens.

Ah, OK, thanks. Didn't know what to make of the new header when I saw it.

I know people aren't using it much lately, but I've noticed that the chat function isn't working. I get timed out or logged out of it within a few minutes.

Sarah,

I just stayed logged in for 9+ hours (I just let it sit idle while I was at work) without any troubles. I timed out from that session (I can see from the time stamp) as soon as I logged back on from a different computer, so I dunno whats up. Anybody else having issues?

We were having timeout issues a while back I was aware of but I changed the setting so you can stay logged in permanently unless you you click "logout" or navigate away from the page (whereas I think its 5 minutes then it times you out).

Visit the link in the first post, find your avatar, and download it. Then go to User Control Panel > Profile > Edit avatar and upload it.
