It's at the end of the Strip District, kinda close to downtown.
And thanks for the link, that looks like the right thing!

Looking at the setlist (from the pictures you took) seems like one song that should have been played, wasn't... considering the concert was played in The City of Steel (even if it is just a line).

I like the pictures. Looks like a really cool venue... now I get the name.

Not sure what you were talking about in the Bowery thread, your photos are perfectly great too. I like this one a lot: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alyssajone ... hotostreamAlyssaJones wrote:
EDIT: Okay, pics are up on my Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alyssajones37/ There's more bad ones than good, but I'm too tired and lazy to sort them right now, so I just threw all 45 of 'em up.
Cool to see Winston rocking the Jagermeister shirt! You got Marcus the guitar tech in one of your shots too, heh. He's a cool dude. Always nice to see photos of the venue too. I've never heard of this place though I've been to Church Brewery a bunch of times. Thanks for posting your photos Sara.

The Alter Bar is in the Strip District on Penn Ave.
This was the first SA show I have seen in the post Dan era. I thought the line from Never Really Been was appropriate "hey ain't it strange how somethings never change, ain't it strange how nothing stays the same."
It was nice to see them in my home town and in a nice venue but I feel the urge to plan a road trip to see another show soon.

These pictures are awesome too! DSLR, or point-and-shoot?

Thanks for the picture compliments. That guitar tech is a pretty cool guy. He gave me a guitar pick at the end of the night when everyone was hanging around by the bar.
Here's a great video of Runaway Train from the night:
About halfway through, Dave broke a guitar string, but with some quick communication they got him fixed right up.

It was kind of annoying at the end of the night... they made everyone line up and take turns talking to Dave while he stood behind the merch counter. I mean I totally understand if that's the way they wanna do it (it's better than NOT talking to him of course!), but it's kind of annoying getting pushed back by a security guard when the person you're trying to talk to actually knows who you are and considers you a friend. I mean really, do I look like some kinda crazy person?
