How long have you been in the Soul Asylum online community?

Post by philipgar »

So, I was thinking the other day, there have been quite a few SA communities online that have slowly migrated over to what we have here. I'm kind of wondering how many have stuck around since the "beginning" of them. As far as I know here is the migration order:

AOL Message Board
Soul Asylum.com message board
O'Jeez it's Soul Asylum board
enter the Soul Asylum.com

I'm sure there have been other smaller clubs at some point or another, but I think this is the main ones. For the record, I date back from the AOL message board days. What about everyone else?

I was registered at the "O'Jeez it's Soul Asylum" board but never posted a lot.

hey;

The computer challenged one here. I can't even get to the poll to vote; Yikes...

but; my answer would be "enter the Soul Asylum" one.

Like Sometime to Return, I'm still learning about the brave new technological world out here. Enter the Soul Asylum is my first SA online community. Just want to say I'm glad I found you.

I'm from the AOL board too. If memory serves, I stumbled upon it in October or November of 1997.

I'm pretty new to the Soul Asylum fan community; I was first introduced to it through the O'Jeez group. Judging from my join date, I spent roughly eight months on there before me and Jim got this site rolling. It's quite humbling that there has been an online following dedicated to this band for so long.

Enter the Soul Asylum. I'd heard about the O'Jeez board years ago, but never joined.

So frustrated. Get up anyway.
So complicated. Changes every day.

So the darkness fades
And the light, will come shining through.

I started searching for info after their live show I caught last year, at the end of September, and joined soon after I found this site in early Oct. 2007. I have been a fan since the late 80's, but I was a little busy juggling kids & college back then. This is also the one and only fansite I subscribe to.

Peace,
Carol
