New Songs (spoiler alert)
New Songs (spoiler alert)
Short 30 second clips of some of the new songs can be found here: http://www.warnerchappell.com/search
You go to artist search and look for Soul Asylum. You clock on a song and click the "master" tab. If it has a clip there will be a button to play it. Some of the new songs don't have a clip yet.
Alot of new, interesting sounds including wah-wah, very different rythmns and auto-tuner, which has got to be a soul asylum first. Sounds like it will be fresh and interesting. Obviously Justin and Winston brought alot of different sounds into the recordings.
Can't wait for my pledge music copy to arrive!
I like the riff from Can't Help It, sounds like the opening riff from Sweat Shock by J. Roddy Walston (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niZ2G9C17mo) Will really look forward to seeing that one played live!

Great find, thanks for sharing. I only listened to the clip of Can't Help It, and it is worlds away from Delayed Reaction. Not sure if I'd like a whole album of Dave singing like that the entire time, but the music is cool. I'm gonna save myself for the full tunes though. Last time I listened to song clips in advance of an album, I got let down a bit when I heard the whole thing. You only get one chance to hear a new album for the first time, and I'm going to do it right from here on in.

Yeah I hear ya. I said the same thing when I previewed Delayed Reaction.
I already regret listening to these - it's like figuring out what your Christmas presents are ahead of time.

Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
i don't want to disappoint you Delayed Reaction guys that were disappointed about older songs coming back to see the light of day.....but you are getting a couple of older songs !
i love everything i am hearing, just made me smile to hear some songs that have been kicking around in our "live" section for years.
DEALING---What were dealing with (from the overreactors show)
DOOMSDAY---Hallowed ground (from the late 90s, early 2000s?)
i am curious if goodbye la is going to be goodbye minneapolis....hmmm
exciting stuff though, thanks for sharing !!

Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
I have fond memories of playing the Overreactors show in my car and singing to "What We're Dealing With." I remember "Hallowed Ground" too from the early 2000s.
Sigh...now where is "Freak Accident?"

Re: New Songs (spoiler alert)
If I opened up them up in lots of tabs; the songs wouldn't play. But, one by one they seem to be playing.
I look forward to hearing full songs. Opening for Catching Fire reminds me of... one of the Clam Dip songs. Chains, I think.
